Terms of Use

By creating a BarterFly account you agree to these terms. BarterFly is a platform that helps neighbours swap goods, skills, and services. We are not a party to those swaps.

The marketplace

You are responsible for your listings, chats, and trades. Meet-ups, delivery, quality, and any cash you agree with another user are between you and that user. BarterFly does not hold money in escrow and does not process card payments in the app today.

Your account

Keep your login details safe. Do not impersonate others. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, post prohibited items, harass others, or abuse the service.

Acceptable use

• No illegal goods, weapons, or anything you do not have the right to trade.
• No spam, scams, or misleading listings.
• No hate, harassment, or sexual content involving minors.
• Treat other users fairly and complete trades you have accepted when you reasonably can.

User-generated content, reporting, and blocking

Listings, photos, videos, comments, chats, and profiles are posted by users. You can flag objectionable content and block abusive users from the more (•••) menu on a post, profile, chat, or reel. Blocking removes that person’s content from your feed immediately. Reports and blocks also notify BarterFly. We aim to review reports within 24 hours and will remove violating content and may eject the user who posted it.

Content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, and text you post. You give BarterFly a licence to host and display that content in the app so other users can see it.

Disclaimer

The app is provided as is. We do not guarantee that a trade will complete or that another user is trustworthy. Use public, safe meeting places when you exchange in person.
